East Cape Manuka/Tea Tree oil blend.
East Cape Manuka oil (Leptospermum scoparium) has been proven in scientific studies to be the most effective of all Manuka and Tea Tree oils in controlling a broad spectrum of bacteria and skin fungi, as well as providing effective parasite control.
Manuka oil is produced by steam distillation of leaf material from plants grown in the wild in the remote East Cape region of New Zealand. The plants are not sprayed with chemicals or stimulated by artificial fertilizers, and are not subjected to industrial pollution.
Anti-microbial effectiveness is due to Triketone compound levels of East Cape Manuka plants which are four to five times higher than have been found in the oils of Manuka plants collected from other N.Z. locations.
Acaricidal effectiveness is enhanced by the inclusion of Tea Tree oil containing terpinen-4-ol as the primary active component.
This blend of East Cape Manuka oil and Australian Tea Tree oil (Melaleuca alternifolia) contains 10% East Cape Manuka oil, 5% Tea Tree oil and includes Lemon Myrtle Oil (Backhousia Citriodora), and Sweet Almond oil.
We highly recommend this Manuka oil blend for the control and prevention of lice and scabies infestations.
This oil is also effective in repairing cracked heels, dry flakey elbows, sterilizing cuts, scratches, insect bites and stings and for general antiseptic use around the home and workplace.
